Growth CompassWhere is the bottleneck?
Twelve behavioural questions, three per pillar. Each option describes a concrete behaviour, not a feeling. If you don't know, choose 'unclear'; it is not counted as zero.

The tool
Result of Hoorad's proposed self-assessment
Choose a problem to see what it usually means and which tool to use.
One pillar has no valid answer, so no overall score is produced.
| Pillar | Score (of 100) | Level | Answered |
|---|
This is Hoorad's proposed self-assessment, not an industry benchmark, a validated scientific instrument or a definitive diagnosis. Scores only reflect your answers.
The calculation runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to the server unless you choose to save.
How it's calculated
Each question scores 0–4. Pillar score = sum of its three questions ÷ 12 × 100. Overall = mean of the four pillars. 'Unclear' answers are removed from the denominator: provisional score = sum of valid answers ÷ (4 × valid answers) × 100. A pillar with no valid answer is reported as undetermined and no overall score is produced. Bottlenecks = the two lowest-scoring pillars. Actions come from versioned recommendation rules (pillar + score band) that are editable in the admin.
Assumptions
Answers are honest and about the current state, not future plans. The four pillars carry equal weight. The level bands (0–39 fragmented, 40–69 connecting, 70–100 coordinated) are Hoorad's proposal.
Limitations
This is not an industry benchmark, a validated scientific instrument or a definitive diagnosis. The result only reflects your answers and should be complemented with real business data before deciding. With fewer than 8 answers, no detailed result is shown.
A worked example
If you answer the three 'customer leverage' questions with 1, 0 and 2, that pillar scores 3 ÷ 12 × 100 = 25, in the 'fragmented' band. If one of the three is 'unclear' and the other two are 1 and 2, the provisional score is 3 ÷ 8 × 100 ≈ 38.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn't 'unclear' counted as zero?
Zero means a behaviour is clearly absent; unclear means you don't know. They are different, and merging them would distort the result. Unclear answers are removed from the denominator and the result is shown as provisional.
Is the result stored or sent to anyone?
No, unless you click 'Save this result'. Then the server recomputes it and creates a private, non-indexed report reachable only from this browser.
Where do the suggested actions come from?
From a simple rule set: for each pillar and score band, a few prioritised actions are defined. Actions are picked for the two bottlenecks first. No statistical model or AI is involved.
How often can I repeat the assessment?
As often as you like. Repeating quarterly with the same questions shows movement; the rule version is recorded in the report so comparisons stay meaningful.
